Why don't you talk of the real reason Italy won, that dirty scumbag Gentile. e hacked the shit outta Maradona in the game before, and ripped Zico's shirt in half on a scoring chance in the penalty box in this match and deserved a red card for his antics. Zoff should've stopped the 1st goal, but in all he played great.

i dont think italy was superior to brasil. itali played more like team together as they alwayes do, they played perfect game and remember italy had perfectly good goal ruled offside

Totally agree with your comment mate and I am Irish. I hate all this Brazil bullshit from FIFA. Lets take a strategic look at thw World Cup in Korea/Japan in 2002. Italy and Spain were completely robbed by the officials in their matches with the host nation South Korea. Brazil, as a consequence played no one of substance. The results of the tournament were a farce

Indeed the cup is Italian, nobody's denying that. But that Italy had a better team, that's completely debatable. Football is weird like that, the results are unpredictable. Brasil could've had a better team and still lost, and it's valid to have such an opinion.Personally, I'm saddened we lost with such an amazing team. But the holes in our defense show, and Italy took advantage of it.
