That's based on what people tell them.. their whole lives they are raised believing that God wants them to die for him in violence.. but the disciples of Jesus didn't always have much faith. These were men who just lived as regular men, but they saw what Jesus did and his resurrection and it completely changed them.. anyone can be psychologically tricked from birth into believing..

Would you say humans aren't a major part of the universe? And Christianity is saying God created us as relational beings to be in relationship with Him, and it's not that we influence his mind, but it's more that he hears our needs and decides to meet them when we humble ourselves to asking. Also, of course, what we'd ask for shouldn't be outside of how the bible tells us to live. But, prayer isnt just asking. It's a lot more than that.

Actually, as a believer in science, logic and reason, I believe that educating oneself is very useful. So please feel free to respond to my comment. The reason I comment here is not to lecture people, but to gain the knowledge of others. A discussion would be great.But let's not deceive ourselves. Your stereotypical remark about atheists hints that you, too, are presumptuous and tend to jump to conclusions too easily, without looking closely at the facts. So let's avoid being hypocritical.

I think your lacking knowledge of that which you argue. Jesus wasnt immortal. He was born human and he wasnt the father he was the son. He was actually Gods favorite son. He died which reports prove this. and on the 3rd day he rose from the dead, which also has reports of. So the existance of Jesus Christ and his life and death is undisputable. You should kind of read before you debate it.

well I could answer those questions but i doubt you'd listen. Most atheist are hard to talk to and if you have a set opinion then there is nothing I can say to really give you insight. So a bigger question is Why ask questions that you dont want the answer too?
