Lets not forget Seles had a 3-1 lead over Graf in Slam Finals.I admit,the one she lost,she played bad.But its partially because she was too self conscious not to grunt.Anyway,nobody can overlook the fact that Seles had won 8 GS as a teenager and was forced out of the game because her closest competitor could not match her.

No doubt Seles was better than Graf.Seles played her best in GS.Prior to her stabbing,she lost to players like Arantxa,Sabatini,Capriati and Graf but when it came to Grand Slams,Seles beat all of them.

Well yes even as a Graf fan I see what you are saying. She did mostly beat up on people with nobody at her level, no real rival, not her fault, but when Seles was stabbed her only true rival was gone. Capriati and Hingis are not in Grafs league and not rivals to her. Sabatini never became a real rival to Graf either, she was an underachiever. Sanchez was an overachiever but not quite good enough. So Martina for a bit in the late 80s, then Seles , then pretty much Graf on her own.

tend to exaggerate out of frsutration sometimes lol....but it just pisses me off when people try to make the argument that beating the likes of Capriati and Hingis automatically makes you some pedestal trophy...IMO Cap was lucky to have even won THREE slams, and Hingis.....do we even have to go there?...wish Steffi had whooped her ass more than she did just to put a foot in that mouth of hers.

An extreme exaggeration to say Graf would have only won 3 or 4 more after 89. Graf had ALREADY won 3 more slams before Seles was even stabbed. You add the 3 Wimbledons she won after Seles was stabbed, the easy ones which she was almost certain to win anyway, and you already up to 6, even before speculating on the others.

Quad threat, you speak the truth. Steffi's main competition came from Arantxa? who?? lol Monica's stabbing was one of the saddest things in sports. the last match that seles beat graf in(before the stabbing) was the autrailian open final in 93. she took graf to school... but who know how many she would have won?

yeah Seles would have had probably 15 or 16 slams by now (the Williams, Henin, and whatnot would have been the only things stopping her from winning even more), and Graf would have probably won 3 or 4 after '89....the thing that most Graf fans refuse to believe is that Steffi really didn't have any competition for her titles....partially due to her greatness, but MORESO due to the shitty opposition on the other side of the net...the players she was facing were above average at best.
