its very true. as performers its so easy to get lost in a song. but the Spirit makes its move when the worshiper is willing to lift up not only their gift but so much more importantly their heart and life. Romans 12:1

you are so right. i get tears whenever i listen. i saw Vince Gill sing this on a gospel PBS concert with Amy Grant and they sang it explaining about Fernando (guess he couldn't be there) ...I was very moved.

There are many preachers and singers out there with fake ministries and tears trying to get us closer to something else while using God to get to it.. But then you come across a song like this that brings forth a flow of real tears that touches you deep within your soul. You know then that God has put his signature on it. I believe that not all christian music will be heard in Heaven. Only those songs that were written for our Lord with a motive to only please him and not the writers wallet. |
