I have watched several videos on youtube and read the relevant wikipedia entries. I still have not seen a single definition of the word dimension. A cursory scifinder review of string theory in the literature makes it evident that it may take me years to sift through and find this basic piece of information. If you are opposed to defining the term I would be grateful if you could point me to the current, established string theory definition so that I do not waste my time.

haha you are ridiculous. I said just look it up so I don't have to define it for you. You can get the definition for yourself.. Don't take my word for it, find out for yourself. Don't be scared to look it up, it doesn't take that long. Just look it up and you won't have any more questions.. it's that simple.
