awesome. the title of a documentary on Gulda is perfect: "So What?" some people would probably say he's not playing the 'right' way, but he has his OWN way that's just as good.

der gulda war halt auch ein lebensfroher, unkonventioneller und lustiger kerl, der stets an sich gearbeitet hat...und keiner von den sogenannten "klassiktrotteln"

Older pianists are amazing. Their hands are so well trained and experienced they almost seems like they do everything on their own while the pianist just sits back and enjoys the music. Did he always act a bit eccentri like this or was that just because of age?
