Is the first verse about pancho or lefty? It sounds like it wwould be lefty but it shows pancho the entire time

Outstanding song based on General Pancho Villa's larger than size true factual legendary personna. Willy is amazing and Merle is deep. Absolute quality and voices in this American "corrido" (corrido is a song that relates a story of a man and his struggle/adventure). There, Amigos American, you heard it here first. VIVA WILLIE!

Townes Van Zandt's "medley" of hits. "the dust that Pancho bit down south ended up in Lefty's mouth" is as good a line as it gets in a song like this.

Not a total loss there- with people like Emmylou Harris, who covered this earlier. Everything she touches is golden. Not to mention folks like Alison Krauss, Vince Gill, Gretchen Peters ... |
