Mrscarpachie, you just about summed it up. Grant is an amazing guitar player. I've seen him around 6 times or so, by himself, with a backing band, etc. But I think I loved his solo shows the most. He's such a great entertainer. He's hilarious. And he does a crazy-awesome Willie Nelson impersonation. I wish I had seen GLB back in the day. One of my greatest musical regrets.

Wow. I'm an idiot because I compared two rock singers. I learned my lesson. I'll never do that again. Lol.I was just responding to other comments that compared Pearl Jam to GLB. In my opinion, there is no comparison. I think PJ are talented musicians, but most of their music is, to me, derivative, boring and played-out.

This song is about a the Waco Seige of the Branch Davidians by the ATF. It lasted 51 days ended with a fired that consumed the entire compound in less than a half hour. Seventy-six people, including 21 children and two pregnant women, along with Davidian leader David Koresh died in the fire.The FBI thought it would be a great idea to pump tear gas (a gas that is meant for outdoor use) into the compound to get the Davidians to come out. The gas was also extremely flammable.

This is one of GLB's best songs. But "Sing Along" from the same album is one of the best songs of all time IMHO

Eddie Vedder wishes he had a voice this amazing. He's got a good voice, but I don't know if I can think of anyone with a voice that rivals Grant's. Not many singers can give me the chills like him.
