Dream Theater is amazing. It is the sum of all my favourite things. Before I knew Dream Theater I envisioned a band that had Progressive things mixed with heavy metal, with other influences as well...And I was amazed to find that Dream Theater had been doing it all along. They are my 2nd favourite band after Pink Floyd. AMAZING! :)

i believe as a musician that music is worthlees if the artist does what he thinks public wants to hear..the real artist sings and writes about real feelings..a real artist doesnt sell music..shares it with the world

I'm with you entirely on that one too. Unfortunately the men running the music industry view it differently; the music runs a very poor second to image and being photogenic. Unless the likes of Simon Cowell can market you as a product you have very little chance of making it big in mainstream music.

Let me see - Dream Theater.Guitarist acknowledged to be one of the greatest guitarists ever by Satriani, Vai, even your beloved Metallica etc.Bass player who plays a six string bass faster and with more precision than most people can play guitar.Drummer who is employed by his drum manufacturer to showcase their products.Keyboard player recently voted (by keyboard players) to be second best ever behind Kieth Emerson.Yep, guess you're right, they really are rubbish.
