the stabbing is not an "if", it's a fact... And until then Monica had won 7 of the last 8 slams she entered, also the last 3 year championships, and had a 3-1 record in grandslam finals against Steffi, who was reduced to a clear no.2 for 3 years. So no "if", but simply common sense and facts. After the stabbing, Monica's whole mental approach and evolvement as a player had changed forever and both of their careers changed in opposite directions.

oh my gosh. steffi is really good. i was too young to watch the players of the 1990s so i only saw today's female players and let me say i think graf would crush them. she was so moving well which is somehting the ladies don't do too well know nowadays. female tennis today is gettin to be all about looks and glam, ugh please u can be as pretty as pie but just have a good game, hmmm?

I disagree. The way Graf played this particular match no way she would have lost, even to Monica. Monica would usually beat Graf on rebound ace which was Graf's worst surface and Monica's best but not on this particular day.
